From Cinque Tere to Lake Como — Monday & Tuesday, Sept. 19-20, 2011
Today we drove through tunnels, tunnels and more tunnels traveling from Cinque Terre north to beautiful Lake Como on the border between Italy and Switzerland. After checking into our hotel (which sits on the water’s edge halfway up the lake), we walked along the water checking out the ferry scheudule. Lunch consisted of pizza, walnut & gorgonzola bruschetta, spaghettiand spinach carbonara. In the evening, we watched the sun go down over the mountains from the gazebo of our hotel.
