After a long flight, we have finally arrived in London! What a beautiful city, and what strangely beautiful weather…as far as London goes.
We chose the the 5-star Radisson Edwardian Hampshire hotel for our one night’s stay before the cruise—not a shabby place to find yourself in central London. It’s located right on Leicester Square near anything you might want to see for a short stay: the National Portrait Gallery, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, West End theatres, Soho, China Town, Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street, Oxford Street stores, and a ton of chic restaurants and bars. Unfortunately, we didn’t allot myself much time to see all the highlights, but we decided to enjoy as much as I could of the hotel and of the sights nearby before leaving for the ship.
At the moment, we’re headed toward the pier in Dover on a private motorcoach. It’ll be about a 2-hour drive through the countryside, and we’ve just caught a glimpse of the white cliffs of Dover in the distance.
Soon, we’ll be aboard the Crystal Symphony on our way to Guernsey!
